$50,000 Research Scholarship

This scholarship is retroactive for 100 years and
can be conducted anywhere on the globe.

We have all read the books and saw the TV Documentaries which describe a story of people dragging stones up some sort of monster ramp.  But that isn’t good enough.  In the scientific realm, a story is called a hypothesis.  Sciences use the scientific method to substantiate a hypothesis.  Egyptology which considers itself a science seems to have a real disdain for the use of the scientific method.

Egyptology has never made a full size casing stone in the manner they say it was done.
Egyptology has never even demonstrated making one surface of one casing stone.
Egyptology has never moved a 16 ton payload up a ramp.
Egyptology has never moved a casing sized stone around a corner of a spiral ramp.
Egyptology has never moved a 70 ton payload one inch.
Egyptology has never done a host of other tasks which they say peasants and working people did thousands of times every day for years.

Egyptology has told stories of a big ramp and strong backed workers somehow dragging these stones into place.

Egyptology is arguably the richest of all sciences with all of their priceless artifacts, benefactors, highly paid professors, rich book authors and paying patrons.  Egyptology is a science which is about 200 years old.  They have both the time and money to engage in the scientific method, yet they do not offer to substantiate their stories with demonstrations.

The purpose of this Research scholarship is to help advance the “science” of Egyptology clear up into the 19th century by helping to fund a demonstration which would substantiate their often told stories.

Whoever is first in completing the requirements of this research scholarship will be awarded $50,000. Funding for this scholarship is required to be used exclusively for this purpose.  It can not be used for anything else.

The conditions and requirements of this Research Scholarship are as follows.

Requirement 1: Quarry, cut and finish five (5) casing stones to the same precision and size of those remaining at the Great Pyramid in the manner described by traditional Egyptologists. For this exercise none of the 5 casing stones can have a weight of less than 14 tons.

Requirement 2: Move and place the five quarried casing stones in the manner described by traditional Egyptologists and be consistent with the remaining evidence at the Great Pyramid.

Requirement 3: The type of stone used in this research scholarship is to be limestone.

Requirement 4: The demonstration from the first day of work at the quarry to the completion of the movement and placement of the five casings stones shall not exceed 90 days.

Requirement 5: Documentation for the demonstration will be provided to the Pharaoh's Pump Foundation in the form of a report, photographs and video tape showing each operation of the process.

Details of the requirements of the Pharaoh's Pump Foundation Research Scholarship

Quarry and finish 5 casing stones of limestone no less than 14 tons each. Any limestone quarry is acceptable.  The quarry does not have to be in Egypt.  Move these 5 casing stones from the quarry onto a barge or barges on a river. It is not necessary to use the Nile River. Any river large enough to float and move the barge is acceptable. It is not necessary to use a period authentic loading dock or to build a barge to the specifications of original barges of ancient Egypt. The loading dock or barge does not have to be recreated to complete this scholarship. The use of a contemporary loading dock and barge are allowed in this research demonstration.

Move the barge at least 1 mile on the river. This could be 1/2 mile one way and then 1/2 mile back to the original dock. This movement of the barge is intended to represent the transport of the casing stones accomplished by the original builders. No operation of any internal combustion engine is allowed on the barge during demonstration.

Move the casing stones off the barge and to the site prepared for their placement. This site must be at least 100 yards away from the river. This will allow the demonstration of the movement of the casing stones.

Place the casing stones in the configuration illustrated above. The required configuration for this research scholarship is: three casing stones in a row with two casing stones placed above the first three. The original casing stones were placed on a series of paving stones. In this demonstration it is not necessary to recreate the paving stones. A poured cement slab will be adequate and acceptable.

Time limit. No longer than 90 days from the start of quarrying actives to the completion of the entire work. A three month period per year is the time traditional Egyptologists say most of the work was completed. This is an ample amount of time to quarry, move and place only 5 casing stones.

To receive the $50,000 the above tasks must be completed in the manner described by traditional Egyptologists, and the results must be of the same precision as the original casing stones of the Great Pyramid in their original condition. No steel hammers, steel chisels, or other steel tools. No chains or nylon ropes. No forklifts or heavy power equipment or internal combustion engines in any part of the process. Only use the tools and stone moving methods described by traditional Egyptologists. This allows the option to use up to 100,000 slaves, workers, volunteers or taxpayers if you want to.

Evidence of your completion of the requirements of this scholarship can be submitted in the form of a report, video tape and photographs. If needed, the finished stones must be available for inspection by a representative of the Pharaoh's Pump Foundation to determine if the casing stones meet all the requirements of this research scholarship. All of the requirements of this scholarship must be met in their entirety. The decision of the Pharaoh's Pump Foundation is final.

To participate in this reach project simply Email or FAX the Pharaoh's Pump Foundation and let us know your intention to participate in this Scholarship. Our conformation of your participation will be your starting date. If you are the first to complete and provide documentation showing that you have completed the requirements of this scholarship you will receive $50,000.

How will the funds be transferred to whoever completes the requirements of the Scholarship? Either certified check or electronic funds transfer, depending on the preference of the first person or group completing the required tasks.

Why don't you you just take the scholarship money and build the pump? the interest of the funding source is in the creation and movement of the casing stones.  The funding source requires the scholarship money to be used in this specific manner

Is the money available? Yes, to whoever first completes the requirements of this scholarship.  The funding can not be used in any other manner.  This insures that the scholarship funding will be available to whoever first completes the scholarship.

Do I have to do this on the Giza Plateau using the exact same quarries? No. Anywhere is acceptable that is convenient for the completion of the required tasks.

Can I keep the casing stones? Yes you maintain ownership of the stones you create. They would be a nice display on a University campus and would be of high historical and monetary value.

Can we have the money "up front" to help finance the cost of attempting to performing the required tasks? No, the money is awarded after the completion of all tasks with review and acceptance of submitted proof of completion of the requirements of this scholarship. The casing stones may require inspection to validate equal precision as the original condition of the casing stones found at the Great Pyramid.
